I thought I’d break up the rhubarb feature with a bit of a healthy breakfast/lunch treat. These are easy to make, healthy, tasty and great for a quick breakfast or to have in the lunchbox. A good granola makes such a great part of a breakfast or evening snack. I have already posted one recipe for a granola, but have made some changes. This one contains less sugar than my previous recipe and more nuts and dried fruits.
It’s not always easy to find good recipes for dairy free variations for good baked goods. This time I found and modified a recipe that originally had yogurt in it. I didn’t have soy yogurt without flavor at hand, so I swapped with soy cream instead. And the result was very delicious. It creates a whole different wholesomeness to the flavor of the buns. You can of course make these with a basic bread bun dough as well, but there is a bit more flavor to these. Continue reading
I only very recently discovered the chia seeds and the it healthiness and versatility. I normally have it as an over night porridge with fruits and berries. This is a very satisfying and healthy breakfast that gives a great start to the day. It gives a proper start to the day with plenty of vitamins, fiber and healthy fatty acids. Continue reading
